There are different wireless mic systems in the Goldroom.  Be sure to read the correct section for the type that you have.

Lectrosonics

UCR 411 Receiver

For Spectrum Analyzer, press all 3 keys simultaneously.  Use the MENU key to stop, zoom, or start scan.  Use the UP and DOWN keys to scroll.  To save the current frequency, press all 3 keys simultaneously and then select "use new".  The receiver will display a 2-digit alphanumeric code.  This is what you will set on your transmitter.  Continue to press MENU until you exit to the home screen.

SMV Transmitter

Press and hold the RF button.  If it displays a long frequency number, then release and try again.  While holding down the RF button, use the up and down arrows to select the 2-digit alphanumeric code from your receiver.

UM400 Transmitter

Only use 2.5mm screwdrivers when changing frequency on the UM400 transmitters.

Simply set the 2 dials on the side of the transmitter to match the alphanumeric code displayed on the receiver.

Sennheiser G3

Know the difference between the transmitter and the receiver- the transmitter has a mute switch on top next to the Mic/Line port.  The receiver only has an AF Out port.

To pair the devices, make sure they're both turned on, and go into the menu on the receiver.  Use the up or down arrows to select SYNC.  With the battery doors open, face the two devices towards each other.  There is an IR interface next to the power buttons, so do not cover those up.  A check mark will appear on the receiver once the pairing is complete.

To find a clear operating frequency, go into the menu of the receiver and select "Easy Setup".  From there, you can "Scan New List", which will start the process.  Select a bank and channel.  Be sure to re-sync the transmitter whenever you change the frequency.

NOTE: It is possible to mute the radio antennas on both the transmitter and receiver, which may render the receiver inoperable when synced with another transmitter.  To avoid this, go into the Advanced menu of the transmitter, and set the Mute Mode to "Disabled" or "AF On/Off"!

Audio recorders and cameras all have different personalities when it comes to timecode.  Read the information below so you know what to expect from each.

Tascam Settings

Be sure your project settings are set to 23.976.  This can only be done when creating a new project.

Go to the Sync T/C menu, Setup tab Set TC Gen Mode to "Free Run" Set Power Off Gen to "On" On the Timecode tab, set your timecode.

Turn on the smart slate.  It should read "JLOC 23" Plug in the timecode cable between the recorder and slate to jam sync.  Timecode should start to run.
